Akron--John C. Uthe, formerly of Independence, Iowa, and Miss Mattie Tucker were united in marriage on Wednesday, February 3, 1897, at the residence of the bride's parents four miles southeast of Akron.  The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Tucker and is well known in Akron.
