At St. John’s Methodist Episcopal Church in Mapleton, Iowa, on Saturday, December 16, 1911, Mr. Ernest O. Ridley, of Center township, Monona county, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary A. Cooper, of Orchard, Nebraska, the Rev. Geo. W. Ladd officiating.

Miss Harkness added to the beauty of the occasion by rendering appropriate music during the ceremony.

This wedding, which will come as a surprise to many of our people, was a private one, only a few of the immediate friends being present.

Mr. Ridley is well known here, having lived in Center township for some thirty-two years, and having the esteem and respect of his neighbors and acquaintances.

The bride, who is an estimable lady, is unknown here, having been born and lived all her life at Orchard, Nebraska, but will receive a cordial welcome among friends of her husband in the new home.
