BEVERLY SMITH AND HERMAN KOWALKE WED, HOME NEAR KINGSLEY

Miss Beverly Joyce Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Smith, of LeMars, became the bride of Herman Kowalke, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kowalke, Sr., of Kingsley, Friday evening, June 6, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church.

The Rev. L.L. Belk performed the double ring service at 7 p.m. Attending the couple were Miss Mary Ellen Kowalke of Leeds and Ray Smith, brother of the bride.

Upon their return from a brief wedding trip, the couple will make their home on a farm four miles west of Kingsley.
