LeMars Sentinel, LeMars, Plymouth, Iowa, USA TUESDAY, DEC. 31. 1907
One of the most pleasant gatherings of the season took place at the country home of Mr. and Mrs. Omms Redelfs one mile south of Crathorne, on Thursday, Dec. 19th, when their daughter, Gesina. was married to Diedrich Martfeld, Rev. Gebhard, of Johnson township. officiating. The bridemaids were Mary Redelfs, a sister of the bride, and Tena Martfeld, a sister of the groom. The best men were Hans Martfeld, a brother of the groom, and John Redelfs, a brother of the bride. Promptly at 2 o'clock the wedding party proceeded to a specially prepared room, where the ceremony was performed in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. After the young couple had been made one they sat down to an elegant dinner, after which dancing was enjoyed until early in the morning. A large number of valuable presents were received. Thy will go to housekeeping ono mile west of Dalton, where the groom is engaged in farming. The best wishes of the community follow them to their new home.
