Lynn White, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert White of Chicago, at a pretty ceremony Saturday evening, October 13, at 8 o’clock in the First Baptist Church in Oak Park, Illinois. Rev. Carl Winters officiated at a double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was charming in a floor length town of white satin, fingertip veil and she carried a bouquet of gladioli and an orchid. She was attended by Mrs. Robert Tindall, matron of honor, and Misses Shirley White and Marian Compton as bridesmaids. The attendants were attractively dressed in floor length dresses of white brocaded silk and all carried bouquets of gladioli. The groom was attended by his brother, Pvt. Gilbert White.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors and a wedding dinner was served to 125 guests. The parlors and tables were prettily appointed in the chosen colors, yellow and white.
Mrs. White was born and grew to young womanhood in Plymouth County and graduated from LeMars high school. She also attended Western Union College and for the past few years has been employed as a stenotype operator in a law office in Oak Park.
