OYENS:
The marriage of Louis Kemp and Miss Effie VanDusen took place on Tuesday morning at 9:30 at St. Catherine’s church, Rev. Rohlfes officiating. After congratulations, they drove to the Kemp home in Remsen, where near relatives gathered to spend the day in honor of the happy event.

REMSEN:
The marriage of Miss Effie VanDusen to Louis A. Kemp, of Remsen, was celebrated at 9:30 o’clock, Tuesday morning, in the St. Catherine church at Oyens, Rev. Rolfe officiating . The event was a quite affair, witnessed only by relatives and a few friends. Miss Pearl Stortz, of Kingsley attended the bride, while John Kemp Jr. was the best man. The bride wore a pretty gown of cream silk with trimmings of dainty lace. With this she wore a veil and carried a bouquet of cream roses. Miss Stortz wore a light tan dress with tan hat and gloves to match and carried pink carnations. After the ceremony, a one o’clock dinner was served to only members of the family. The bridal couple left on the evening train for a short wedding trip to Marble Rock, Iowa.

NOTE: Date of Marriage was Nov. 24, 1908.
