Mr. and Mrs. Joe Matthew celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 12, at their home in Seney.

A dinner was served at non for members of the family. Table appointments were in gold, with golden candles on either side of a beautiful bowl of yellow jonquils, with place cards with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Matthew, 1903-1953 done in gold with golden spray over the top and napkins with No. 50 stamped in gold. The same decorations were used for the open house from 2 to 5, sponsored by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Gatzke. There were about 150 present.
