DOROTHY M. GARR IS EASTER BRIDE
Weds Pvt. Clarence Stevenson, Sunday

Miss Dorothy May Garr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter R. Garr, 727 Second avenue SW, and Private Clarence R. Stevenson of the U.S. Army, were united in marriage Sunday afternoon, April 1, at the Methodist church parsonage at 3 o’clock, Rev. J. J. Share, the pastor, officiating. The bride and bridegroom were attended by Mrs. Harm Lubben, sister of the bride, Mrs. Lester Witt, sister of the bridegroom, and Vero Calkins of LeMars and Lee Calkins of Lincoln, Neb., brothers of the bride. The parents of the bride and a few immediate relatives witnessed the ceremony.

The bride wore a becoming tailor made suit of powder blue with matching accessories and corsage bouquet. Her bridesmaids wore suits of navy blue trimmed in harmonizing effects.

Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mrs. Lester Witt, sister of the bridegroom.

The bride is a graduate of the LeMars high school and since school days has been employed in the B and B Store, where as clerk, she has advanced to a responsible position, through efficiency and courteous treatment of customers, and has gained a host of friends who appreciate her fine qualities.

The bridegroom volunteered for service some years ago and has served overseas. He is at present stationed in the medical department of Bardene General Hospital at Chickasaw, Oklahoma.

Following a brief honeymoon trip the bridegroom will return to his post in Oklahoma. The bride for the present will c ontinue to live with her parents.
