Albert Albrecht Was the Man

On our last publication day it was not known who the dead man, found in the Western house barn was but subsequent investigation disclosed the fact that it was Albert Albrecht, the little short German man, who has figured so conspicuously in Justice Steiner's and the district court for the past six months. He is the man who had the assault and battery case against William Giffrow of Grant township.

He leaves a wife and children. He and his wife did not agree and at the time of his death, they were not living together, as near as can be learned.

The coroner's inquest was held last Thursday night at A. B. Steiner's office. The jurymen were J. L. Kroesen, N. G. Greer and George Round. Later on in the evening Drs. Brick, Cole and Coroner Gray repaired to the undertaking rooms of Beeley & Fissell, where an autopsy was had over the body of the deceased. As a result of the inquest and autopsy the coroner's jury verdict was to the effect that the deceased came to his death by reason of inflammation of the bowels and stomach with heart trouble.
