Gottlieb Berner 28, Wife Catherine 30, brother Frederick 24 and mother Catherine 63, all born in
Wurttemburg.

1870 Census, same location, taken 28 July 1870:
Gottlieb Barmer (Berner) 39; wife Kato (Catharina) 43; Children: Jacob 9, Elisa 7 (This is Louisa C.), Chris 6, Gottlieb 5, William 2 and Mary (born January 1870); mother, Kato age 73. Gottlieb and the Kato's were all born in Wurttemburg.

1880 Census, Plymouth County, IA., Plymouth Twp.:
Gottlieb Berner 49, Catherine 53, Jacob 20, Louisa 18, Christian 17, Gottlieb 15, William 12, Mary 10 and Daniel 8.

1900 Census, Plymouth County, IA, Plymouth Twp.:
Daniel Berner, b. Feb. 1873, married 3 years to Matilda, b. June 1873; daughter Vera b. Dec. 1898. Daniel was a farmer.

1900 Census, Plymouth County, IA, Plymouth Twp.:
Jacob Berner, b. Oct. 1860, married 15 years to Christina, b. Sept 1861; son Urban b. Feb. 1900. Jacob was a Hardware and Furniture Dealer.

Gottlieb Berner, b. 12 Mar 1866 in Iowa; died 19 Jun 1941 in Los Angeles County, CA. Ida Louise (Knapp) Berner, b. 13 Jun 1872 in Iowa; died 12 Oct 1950 in Los Angeles County, CA.

William F. Berner, b. 20 Feb 1868 in Iowa; died 13 Jun 1960 in Riverside County, CA.

Frederick Berner, born 1786, died 19 Feb 1860; buried in Reeseville Cemetery, Green Island, Jackson County, Iowa.
