The Joe Rudens Celebrate 35th Wedding Date

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ruden, 401 Second Avenue Northeast celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary, Wednesday, Sept. 19, at their home.

Dinner was served at 6:30 to 28 members of their family. The table decorations were in green and white and with a 2-tier anniversary cake as a centerpiece. The cake was a gift from the son Harold and two daughters, Mrs. Lee Bush and Mrs. Le Roy Mousel.

After dinner, an informal evening of cards and visiting was enjoyed by all. The family presented a gift of a Sunbeam automatic coffee maker to Mr. and Mrs. Ruden.

Mr. and Mrs. Ruden were married in Oyens, Sept. 19, 1916, They have farmed in Plymouth county until they moved to Le Mars March 1950. The eleven children of Mr. and Mrs. Ruden, with their families, were guests at the anniversary dinner. They were Mr. and Mrs. Silvius Ruden, Kenneth, Ronnie and Patsy of Kingsley, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ruden, Lynda, and Janet of Le Mars Mr. and Mrs. Raphael Ruden, Bonnie, Larry, Helen and Herbie of Pierson; Joe Ruden, Jr., at home; Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ruden and Karen of Le Mars; Mr. and Mrs. Lee Bush and Lynn of Cherokee and Tommy, Cyrilla, Jean, and Florence at home.
