Gus Pech firm founded in 1879

The Pech Foundry was a pioneer institution of Le Mars. The company was organized by Gus Pech in 1879 and has enlarged many times since, in order to make available to Le Mars residents such useful items as earth boring machines for water wells, cesspools and pilings.

When first opened, the company was located at 200 Second Ave. SW, just a few doors away from the present site at 209 Second Ave. SW.

Robert Collins is the present manager of this local company. The Collins family have been members of this enterprise since 1917, when W. O. Collins was the company manager.
