Page 1Miss Kate Whalen Dies at Dubuque
As we go to press we are informed of the death of Kate Whalen which occurred at St. Anthony's hospital at Dubuque about 4 p.m. Monday, December 30, 1935. The body was brought here for burial. The funeral will be held at the Assumption church at 9:30 Thursday. Rev. Wm. Mason of Ayrshire officiated. The pall bearers are Dick McNally, Tom Fagan, Jim Hand, Denny Martin, Leo Fitzpatrick and Mike Dailey. Burial will be at Ayrshire.
Miss Whalen was born in Vermont on May 1, 1850.
Miss Whalen was a lovable woman, kind, generous, thoughtful, ever ready to assist anyone whom she could.
