- David P. Roberts, a former resident of this borough, died at Corpus Christi, Texas, last Thursday, aged 71 years. Mr. Roberts lived at Emmetsburg, Iowa, but on account of poor health for several years past he had spent the winters in California or Texas. The deceased was a brother of the late William Roberts, of this borough. He was born in Canton but spent most of his younger days in this place, where he was united in marriage to Mary E. Marvin. He was engaged in the hardware business for many years, conducting a store in a wooden building on the site of the Hastings and Bailey brick block. Mr. Roberts left here for Iowa twenty-three years ago. He is survived by a wife, two sons and a daughter.
