Joseph Ludwig, 70
1936-2006

Joseph Ludwig, age 70, of Bode, Iowa died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at the Kossuth Regional Health Care Center in Algona. Memorial Services were held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in West Bend with burial in the West Bend Cemetery. Visitation was Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Algona.

Joseph Lee Ludwig was born on February 29, 1936, in Bode, Iowa, the son of Leo Philip and Mary (Kober) Ludwig. He attended the West Bend Community Schools. On Febryary 24, 1958, Joseph was united in marriage with Carol Hellickson in West Bend. They moved to California where he worked as a construction superintendent until his retirement in 1990. He moved to Bode, Iowa, in 1994.

Mr. Ludwig is survived by his son, Jeffrey Ludwig of Long Beach, California; a daughter, Cindy Ludwig of Seal Beach, California; two grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Ludwig and his wife Elaine of Churchville, Maryland; and Don Ludwig and his wife Judy of Algona; and two sisters, Delores Ulrich and her husband Walt of Graettinger, and Sandy Devereaux and her husband Bill of Pocahontas. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, MaDeen, Leo, Carl, Merel, Frank and John Ludwig; and two sisters, Kathryn Layton and Phyllis Wallace.
