trying to find g.grand mother

My great grandmother was christine larson. She lived in Essex with her husband Olof. She is buried in the cemetary in(?) Essex. I need to know when she died, or find an obit for her.
Is there a church there that would have such records?
Any help would be most greatly appreciated!
