Dr. Perkins Wounded.
The Dr. Perkins referred to in the following dispatch is the same Dr. P. who resided in Decorah for several months as manager of the Decorah Medical and Surgical Institute. For some time he has been practicing medicine in Shenandoah near the home of his boyhood:—
Clarinda, Iowa, June 30.-George Coglev, a dentist at Shenandoah, was fishing near Farragut this morning, in company with Dr. Perkins, son of ex-Railroad Commissioner Perkins. They made a bomb of gaspipe, to explode from a battery, which exploded on the bank, wounding both, Cogley fatally.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Feb. 27, 1869 and died June 30, 1899. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
