Funeral services for Lloyd W. Harvey were held July 5, at the United Methodist Church, in Ocheyedan. Rev. Gordon Vickery officiated. Burial was in Holman Township Cemetery, with Andringa Funeral Home of Sibley, in charge of arrangements. He died July 2, at the Osceola Community Hospital at the age of 72.

Lloyd Walter Harvey was born January 9, 1912 to Mr. and Mrs. Elmer E. Harvey at Sibley. He lived his youth in the Sibley area, and attended the Cloverdale School and the Sibley High School.

He married Ruth Howard of Reading, Minn., on August 25, 1932 at Flandreau, S. Dak. After their marriage they lived in Sibley where he worked as a laborer, and in 1972 they moved to Ocheyedan.

Survivors include his wife Ruth, and two daughters; Darlene Eid, Escalon, Calif., and Dayle Hopkins, Sheldon; seven great-grandchildren: one brother, Roger of Sibley.

He was preceded in death by three sons: Ronald, Loren, David, and one daughter Sharon; and his parents.
