Duane C. Guertin, age 51, died on May 30, 1975. Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Robert Wessels officiating. Burial was in Holman Township Cemetery with the Walton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He was born March 15,1924, in Osceola County, son of Leon and Lily (Fink) Guertin. He attended school in Melvin and St. Olaf's College. On Nov. 13, 1945 he was married to LaVonne Fisher in Sanborn. They resided in Sheldon until 1947 at which time they moved to Sibley. He worked for the city of Sibley in the power plant for 17 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include two sons, David, of Granite Falls, Minn., and Daniel, at home; three daughters, Diane (Mrs. Stephen Boller) of Excelsior, Minn., Ramona ( Mrs. Denny Heitbrink) of Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Collette (Mrs. Ron Willis) of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., and five grandchildren; and his mother, Mrs. Lily Guertin of Sibley.

He was preceded in death by his father.
