Buchholz, Marvin John, Sr. 1918-1997

Marvin John Buchholz, Sr., 78, of Ripon, Calif. died January 24 of natural causes at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was a native of Melvin and lived in Ripon for 33 years. He worked in milk processing for 16 years. He was a poultry rancher for Creivelli Farms. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II earning a Purple Heart. He attended Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon. He is survived by his wife, Gertie of Ripon, sons, Marvin J. Buchholz, Jr. of Modesto, and John D. Buchholz, Modesto, brother, Alvin Buchholz of Fresno, Calif., a sister, Esther Riecks of Melvin and three grandchildren.

Private funeral services were held with Lakewood Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

~Transcriber's Note: Marvin Buchholz was the son of John and Amanda (Mielke) Buchholz. He was born December 7, 1918.
