Funeral services were held for Henrietta Heeren on January 31 at the Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock. Rev. Brian Hellenga officiated. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery at Little Rock, with Walton Funeral Home of Sibley in charge of the arrangements.
Henrietta Heeren was born March 18, 1902 in Freeport, Ill. to Ben and Ten (Hartog) Buss. She spent her early years in Huron, S. Dak. and Adrian, Minn. She was baptized at the Second Reformed Church of Little Rock on December 12, 1919.
On February 24, 1924 she married Eltjo Heeren. They farmed near Ashton until 1947 when they moved to Little Rock. She lived in the Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon for two years and at the Sibley Care Center the past four years. She died January 28 at the age of 84 years.
Survivors include two sons: Benjamin of Little Rock, and Elmer of North Richland, Texas; her daughter-in-law, Fern and Myrna; 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandsons, three sisters: Frieda Doeden of Worthington, Minn., Helen (Mrs. Dick) Kruger, Sibley and Bertha (Mrs. Ernest) Hamann of Luverne, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
