Funeral services were held for Mrs. Emil (sic) (Ruth Phelps) Graves at Los Angeles, Calif., who died Monday, Jan. 17, in that city. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Graves was born Nov. 12, 1897 at Detroit, Mich. She was united in marriage to Emil Graves on Nov. 12, 1929 in Los Angeles, Calif. They lived in Melvin eight years and then moved to a farm west of Ocheyedan in 1938.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1942. She then lived with her daughter, Betty Mae, in Los Angeles where she passed away.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elvy Larkin; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Carlene Hitchcock, Mrs. Wm. Graves and Mrs. Grace Graves of Melvin.

NOTE: Gravestone records indicate the spelling of Emil as Amiel
