Molly Margaret Dagel was born on July 19, 1962 in Los Angeles, California. She was the daughter of James and Ruth (Haugejord) King. She lived her youth in Los Angeles where she attended Montclair High School.
She was united in marriage to Stephen "Steve" Dagel of Sheldon, Iowa on July 6, 2002 in Sheldon. They lived in Sheldon where Molly worked at McDonald's until her health failed. In September of 2015, they moved to Ocheyedan, Iowa.
Molly was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sheldon. She was a former member of the Church of the Brethren where she and Steve volunteered at Christ Cupboard. She was a volunteer at Risefest Christian Music Festival.
She enjoyed singing praise songs, camping, swimming, and cooking for family and friends. Her specialty was making chicken noodle soup for those who weren't feeling well.
Molly will be remembered for her love of life and God.
She passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Avera McKennan Medical Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband: Steve Dagel of Ocheyedan, IA; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mike and Breanna Elkins of California, Paige and Kim Terra of California; one daughter: MacKenzie Dagel of Ocheyedan, IA; nine grandchildren; her mother: Ruth King of California; one brother: James (Gina) King of Sheldon, IA; five sisters: Diana (Mike) Roederer of California, Amber King of California, Mary Flowers of California, Patty King of Sheldon, IA, Cathy (Paul) Frala of California.
She was preceded in death by her father, James King.
