Conrad Kruger, age 47 of Sibley, IA died Saturday June 14, 2014 at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis in Wichita, KS.

Private family memorial service will be Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, IA with Rev. Irvin Van Leeuwen, officiating.

Burial will follow at a later date.

Conrad Gilbert Kruger was born in Sheldon, IA on April 29, 1967 the son of Audra (Jones) and Lawrence Kruger. He was raised on the family farm east of Sibley. He graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School in 1985. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA taking courses in law enforcement.

He moved to Mesa, AZ in 1988 where he was a landscape engineer for several housing developments and golf courses.

He moved back to Sibley in November of 2007 where he worked for NNIK Pork for the last several years.

Conrad was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting deer, fowl, bear, prairie dogs, and fishing. He had many of his animals mounted and displayed.

He was a member of the Osceola County Sportsmans Club. He enjoyed everything about the outdoors and wildlife.

In recent years, Conrad shared these interests with his fiance, Ann, and son Wyatt. He was a father and mentor to Wyatt and they spent many hours together. Conrad was amazing at teaching Wyatt new things.

Conrad also enjoyed amateur photography and working with wood. He left a loving family and treasured friends.

Conrad is survived by his father, Lawrence Kruger of Sibley, IA; mother, Audra Burge of Mesa, AZ; sisters, Carol (Perry) Brinkman of Klemme, IA; Cory (Gordie) Wiertzema of Worthington, MN and their daughters, Sara and Jordan Wiertzema of Worthington, MN; Cary (Jason) Rueter of Sibley and their children, Skylar, Nicholas and Cora Rueter of Sibley, IA; brothers, Charles & Katha Kruger of Sibley, IA; their sons, Steve (Gloria) Kruger of Hartley, IA; Justin Kruger of Arkansas, son, Caison; Jesse (Cassie) Kruger of Sibley, IA their children, Brooklyn and Andyn of Sibley, IA; Mike (Jodi) Van Westen of Sibley, IA; their children Shaylee and Phillip Van Westen of Sibley, IA; niece, Nanetta Rodriguez of Worthington, MN nephew, Dan Hanson of Jasper, MN; fiancé, Ann Strouth and son Wyatt of Sibley, IA.

He is preceded in death by his brother & sister-in-law, Cecil & Gayle Hanson; sister, Cathy Kruger and his grandparents, Conrad & Lida Kruger and Gilbert & Golda Jones.
