January 15, 1944Dennis Aljets, 34, Ocheyedan, died January 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin Veteran's Hospital. He had been hospitalized since September after suffering a fall while working
Services were at 11 a.m., January 17 in St. Peter Lutheran Church at Ocheyedan.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Troy; three daughters, Kristie, Kimberly and Tracy, all at home; his mother, Mrs. F.C. (Fay) Shinn of Fort Dodge; two sisters, Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Mann of Pomeroy and Mrs. Elvin (Karen) Rossow of Fort Dodge; three stepsisters and a stepbrother.
The Rev. Wayne Brinkman officiated.
Burial was in Ocheyedan Township Cemetery with Baumgarten Funeral Home of Hartley in charge.
Mr. Aljets was born November 26, 1942 in Pomeroy. He was graduated from Pomeroy High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to `1963.
He married Barbara Harms, June 7, 1964 in May City. They lived in the Fort Dodge area until moving to Ocheyedan in `1970.
Mr. Aljets was graduated from Northwest Iowa Vocational School at Sheldon in 1973 and had been employed as an electrician.
He was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church and served on the church council
