Funeral services for Frank Mast were held Friday, July 13 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley. Rev. Bernard Sayler officiated.
Burial was at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, with the Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
The casket bearers were Cornie Brower, Charles Mast, Bob Petersen, Norman Hass, Jake Japenga and Lawrence Just.
Frank August Mast, the son of Gus and Louise (Guenther) Mast, was born March 2, 1905 in O'Brien County, Iowa. He attended school at Primghar, graduating in 1924.
He was united in marriage to Hattie Hein on May 26, 1935 at Hartley. Their married life was spent living in northwest Iowa, including the communities of Primghar, Sheldon, Okoboji, Estherville and most recently in Hartley, where the couple had made their home since 1980.
He passed away July 11, 1984 at the Mann Memorial Wing in Hartley, having reached the age of 79 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother; and one son in infancy.Left to cherish his memory are his wife Hattie; three sisters, Melinda Hopkins of Primghar, Mrs. Forres (Dorothy) Karekel of Williams, Iowa and Mrs. Elmer (Elsie) Hass of Rock Rapids; one brother, Elmer Mast, Primghar; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
