Isaac Muilenburg Rites Monday

Isaac Muilenburg, 77, Hartley, died Friday, January 19, 1979, at the Hartley Hospital. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. L.C. Gebhardt officiated. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery.

Mr. Muilenburg was born June 10, 1901 in Alton. He was a lifelong area resident.

He married Alice Walters September 20, 1922. They farmed near Melvin and later moved to their own farm near Hartley. They retired in 1966 and moved to Hartley. Mrs. Muilenburg died February 9, 1976. He was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mars. Wayne (June) Hoff of Lisbon, North Dakota; Mrs. Orville (Betty) Gonnerman of Estherville and Mrs Robert (Violet) Anderson of Omaha; two sons, Earl and Emory, both of Hartley; two brothers, John of Enderlin, ND and Pete of Hartley; five sisters: Mrs. Jennie Fenstra of Sibley, Mrs. Marie Haack of Lake Benton, Minnesota, Mrs. Elizabeth Mastbergen of Worthington, Minnesota, Mrs. Magadelen Mastbergen of Melvin and Mrs. Alice Gathman of Hartley; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

We wish to thank Drs. Boone and Brown, the entire staff of the Hartley hospital. A special thanks to Pastors Mennenga and Gebhardt, and to Arnold Buchholz for their comforting words to our dad, loved one, and to us. A thanks to the Lutheran Ladies Aid for their help. Also to the neighbors and friends that helped us all so we could be with out Dad.
