Mrs. Elsie Hebbel

Mrs. Harry Hebbel, 53, of Spencer, nee Elsie Westphalen, the daughterr of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Westphalen, was born August 6, 1914 at Harris, Iowa. She entered into eternal rest March 12, 1968, at the Spencer Municipal Hospital after a long illness.

She graduated from the Moneta High School and on Nevember 24, 1941, was married to Harry Hebbel.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Wilbur and Ervin; infant sister, Mable; and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Wayne Westphalen of Sutherland.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; two step-sons, Wilbur of Spencer and Donald of Denver, Colorado; one son, Wayne of Omaha, Nebraska; five brothers: Marty of Hartley, John of Spencer, Raymond of California, Delbert of Hartley, and Roy of Royal; four sisters, Lula Schoelerman of Royal, Bernice Madson of Spencer, Dorothy Johannsen of Sutherland, and Velma Rohwer of Minneapolis, Minnesota, as well as one grandson and two granddaughters.

Last rites were held Friday, March 15, at 1:30 pm at the Warner Chapel in Spencer with Rev. Gerald Hallauer officiating.

Pallbearers were nephews, Marving Westphalen of Sheldon, Jerald Westphalen of Royal, Greg Johannsen of Sutherland, Bob Hebbel of Spencer, and Eldon Petersen and Myron "Bud" Petersen of Hartley. Interment was made in Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley.
