Jacob Skaar died Sunday at Primghar

Funeral services were held Wednesday from Congregational Church.

Jacob Skaar, age 57 years, passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon at his home in Primghar at 4 o'clock. Mr. Skaar had been suffering for some time from a heart ailment, but of late, it is reported he has been feeling quite well. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Congregational Church at Primghar, with Rev. Williams in charge.

Surviving are his widow and two children, James and Marilyn. Also six brothers and sister, Fred, Ben and Chester of Gaza; Susie Skaar of Alta; Alice, (Mrs. Sid Hagen) Skaar, Primghar; and Gertie, (Mrs. Joe Leng), also of Primghar.

Deceased was well and favorably known in this community. He recently retired from active farming and moved to Primghar from a farm near Gaza. He was born August 3, 1887.
