Services Held on Tuesday for Mrs. Orren Tjossem

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday, August 24 at the Friends Meeting House near Paullina for Mrs. Orren Tjossem, 76, of Gaza. Mrs. Tjossem died Sunday at the Primghar Hospital of injuries suffered in an auto accident three weeks ago that took the life of her husband. Mrs. Tjossem had been hospitalized since the August 1 accident near Fremont, Nebraska, first in a Fremont hospital and for the last week in the Primghar hospital.

Mrs. Tjossem, the former Florence Crosbie, was born April 6, 1895 in Ida County. She attended rural schools there, attended Iowa State Teachers Collège and taught rural school in Ida county.

She was married December 17, 1919 at Ida Grove.

Survivors include two sons, George of Saluda, VA., and Glenn of Gaza; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Olive) Wilson of Primghar; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Crosbie of Primghar and Sidney Crosbie of Ames, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Tjossem of Gaza.

Final resting place is the Friends Cemetery near Paullina.
