Services Held June 10 for Iva Muhs

Services in memory of Iva Muhs were held Friday, June 10, 1988, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Hartley, Iowa. Reverend John Schauer officiated. Committal service was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.

Iva Muhs, the daughter of George and Minnie Dahnke Wing, was born June 1, 1894, at Blairstown, Iowa. She spent her youth and attended school at Hartley, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Louis Muhs on December 17, 1919 at Spencer, Iowa. They made their home on a farm south of Hartley until moving into town in 1972.

She was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church at Hartley. She enjoyed baking, flowers, and tatting, often doing something for others.

She passed away at the Mann Nursing Wing at Hartley on June 8, 1988 at the age of 94.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Louis, in 1978, and two sisters: Mildred Wing and Elizabeth Leth.

Left to cherish her memory are one sister, Thelma Carey of Saint Petersburg, Florida, and one step-brother and his wife, Duane and Dorothy Wing of Saint Petersburg, was well as several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
