Funeral services for Mrs. Philip Anderson were held Monday afternoon, June 15 at the Evangelical Free Church of Meriden. Mrs. Anderson passed away on Friday, June 12 at Baum Harmon Hospital at the age of 79 yeas, 10 months and 21 days.

Burial was in the [West] Prairie View cemetery near Paullina with arrangements under the care of the Gaudian Eldridge Funeral Home at Paullina.

Julianna W. Anderson, the daughter of Fred and Bens Wessels Jetter, was born July 21, 1902 in Dale Township in O'Brien County. She attended rural schools and later attended Paullina High School.

She was united in marriage to A. Philip Anderson on February 9, 1921 at her parents' home in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple lived in various places but returned to Paullina where they were engaged in farming south of town. The couple retired in 1967 and moved into Paullina.

Julianna was saddened by the loss of Philip on June 3, 1976. She remained in Paullina until entering the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar and passing away on Friday, June 12, 1981, reaching the age of 79 years, 10 months and 21 days.

She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Darlene) Turner of Oakland, and Mrs. Melvin (LaVonne) Baloun of Highmore, South Dakota, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and three sisters.
