Funeral services for Edward H. Bush, 66, a popular and respected resident of this community for twenty years, were held MOnday afternoon with the Rev. L.R> Middents officiating.

Mr. Bush's death came as a shock to the community, as he had been active until this weekend, assisting his son, Glenn, at his grocery. He suffered from a heart ailment and complained of illness Sunday. He died at his home at 217 N. Maple street Thursday about 11 a.m.

Family services were held at the Cowan-Gaudian funeral home, followed by services at the First Presbyterian church. Burial was in [West] Prairie View cemetery.

Born December 10, 1888, to Henry and Maryann Bush on a farm in Cherokee county, Edward Henry Bush spent his boyhood there, moving to Osceola, South Dakota at the age of twenty.

On October 12, 1910, he married Clara Raabe, and four sons and three daughters were born to the couple. They farmed in South Dakota until 1935, when they moved to a farm northweest of Paullina. They farmed in this vicinity until February 1, 1949, when Mr. and Mrs. Bush moved to their present home.

Survivors are Mrs. Bush and their seven children: Mrs Ray (Gladys) Raber of Hartley; Mrs. Harold (Verna) Lamb of Clark, South Dakota; Harland of Neosho, Missouri; Mrs. David (Helen) Lwry of Tuckahoe, NY; Glenn of Paullina, Allen of Granville, and Harold, who lives at home. There are fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Three sisters and one brother also survive.
