Services were held Monday, October 31, 1949 at the Foley Funeral Home in Hartley for Mrs. Annie Eichner, who passed away at the Hand Hospital Friday evening, October 28, after an illness of several months. At the time of her death she had reached the age of 71 yeas, two months and five days. Services were conducted by the Reverent R.A. Roloff.
Annie Vogt was born at Traer, Iowa, on August 23, 1878. She was the daughter of Anna and George Vogt and was one of seven children.
She was united in marriage January 3, 1900, with Julius F. Eichner, whose death occurred in November, 1947. They made their home on a farm south of Hartley, and continued to live in this community all but six years, which were spent in Minnesota.
To this union six children were born, one son, Melvin, having passed away in June, 1938. Children surviving are Mrs. Vyron Paulsen, Steen, Minnesota; Mrs. E.R. Goodell, DeWitt, Iowa; Milo Eichner,Chicago, Illinois; Mrs. Don Trunnell, Davenport, Iowa; and Maxine, Hartley. She also leaves to mourn her passing nine grandchildren, three sisters and one brother, and many other relatives and friends.
