MATHEW JAMES WILLIAMS, 26, of Paullina, Iowa passed away Friday evening, November 20, 2020, due to injuries received in a motor vehicle accident.

Memorial services and a time of sharing memories will be held on Saturday, November 28th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Burial will be in the O’Brien Liberty Cemetery at Calumet, Iowa at a later date. Please practice social distancing and masks will be required at the memorial service. Mathew was born on December 26, 1993 at Sioux City, Iowa to Roger and Leslie (Fiedler) Williams. He attended South O’Brien Schools. He had worked construction putting up hoop sheds. He had worked at Silent Drive by Dexter in Orange City, Iowa in their painting and assembly departments. He was currently working at Brad’s Tire Service Center in Cherokee, Iowa which he thoroughly enjoyed.

Mathew enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, motocross racing, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond Williams, maternal grandfathers James Fiedler and Richard (Dick) Jensen, an aunt Lisa Fiedler.

He is survived by his parents Roger and Leslie Williams of Paullina, Iowa; his brothers and sisters: Joshua Williams and his children Jayms & Jaylee and his girlfriend Chancy of Ida Grove, Iowa; Carrie Bauermeister and her husband Jon and their daughter Zoie of Bruning, Nebraska; Derek Williams and his girlfriend Brittany and their children Cheyenne, Andrew and Dylan of Meriden, Iowa; Macie Williams and her boyfriend Peterjon Colon and their daughter Sofia of Verdigre, Nebraska; his girlfriend: Samantha Fernandez and their daughter to be Vyra Williams of Sheldon, Iowa; maternal grandmother: Florence Jensen of Cherokee, Iowa; paternal grandmother: Dolores Williams of Ida Grove, Iowa; extended family member: Craig Wittmaack of Avoca, Iowa.
