Funeral services were held here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Ina Dornbusch, a resident of this community for more than fifty years. Mrs. Dornbusch, 86 years of age at the time of her death, had remained active until the time of the brief illness that ended her life on April 9. Services were held at the home and at Zion Lutheran church with burial in Prairie View cemetery. The Rev. Paul Sohn officiated at the services.

Anna Caroline Johnson was born June 23, 1870 to Dietrich and Mary Johnson, nee Meiners. On February 11, 1892, she was married to John Frederick Stern. They made their home on a farm near Sterling, Illinois. To them were born two sons, Arthur and Edwin, the latter dying at the age of one year.

With her husband's death in 1900, she and her son moved to Sterling, Illinois, where they lived until August 20, 1906 when she was married to Ina Dornbusch. They came to Paullina and lived on their farm east of Paullina until they retired. They moved into Paullina in 1913.

The deceased is survived by one son, Arthur Stern, and two step-sons, Martin Dornbusch and Ina Dornbusch, Jr., all of Paullina, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Also three sisters living at Long Beach, California, a sister in Sterling, Illinois, and a number of nieces and nephews.
