Rose Louise Roggenburg, the daughter of Albert and Emma Hegli Mohni was born January 2, 1914 in rural Clay County near Everly, Iowa. She attended rural school near Everly.
She was united in marriage to Wilbert Roggenburg on January 2, 1937 at Hartley, Iowa. They made their home farming in the Everly and Hartley area, moving to Hartley in 1976. She aws a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and the Dorcas Society.
She passed away at Sioux City, Iowa, on January 26, 1992, at the age of 78. Preceding her in death were her parents: her husband in 1987; three brothers, Ernest, Herman, and Ed; two sisters, Minnie, and a sister in infancy.
Left to cherish her memory are one son and his wife, Clifford and Marlys of Hartley; two grandsons, Randy and his wife Amy, and Emily, all of Ankeny, and Darin and his wife, Cindy of Urbandale; three brothers, John and William of Hartley and Oscar of Everly; three sisters, Tillie Roggenburg and Marie (Mrs. Harry) Wiese, both of Hartley, and Louise (Mrs. Wilbur) Steinbeck of Campbellsport, Wisconsin; as well as other relatives and friends.
