Henry Miller, the son of Herman and Rolfa Bose [sic] Miller, was born July 7, 1898 in West Bend, Iowa. The family moved to Cylinder soon after his birth and it waws there where he received his early education.

He was united in marriage to Louise Ackerman on January 16, 1924 in Spencer, Iowa. They farmed at Emmetsburg and Hartley until 1948. They moved to Spencer in 1951, due to his wife's failing health.

Mr. Miller passed away on August 6, 1986 at Northsire Residence in Spencer, Iowa at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Louise, on December 11, 1980; three brothers and five sisters.

Henry is survived by his son Edward and and his wife, Mona, of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren: Sheila, Pam and Mart; three great-grandsons; one sister, Mina Conway of Spirit Lake, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

Services in Memory of Henry Miller were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 1987 at the Warner Chapel, Spencer, Iowa. Rev. Leroy Nattress officiated. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, Iowa.
