Glenda Faye Rahbusch, the daughter of William and Alvie (Dau) Frerk, was born June 25, 1940 in O’Brien County, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Sutherland, where she received her education graduating from Sutherland High School in 1958. After her schooling, she worked for the Sutherland Locker for two years.

Glenda married Herman Rahbusch on June 25, 1960 at the United Methodist Church in Sutherland. After their marriage, they lived on the farm. She loved the farm and the life it brought her, she did her chores and painted farm buildings throughout her life. She also enjoyed riding her bike, polka dancing and old time polka music (her favorite band was the Leon Olson Band), riding horses, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

She passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of 78. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Herman Rahbusch of Sutherland; one son, Marty and his wife, Lisa; their children: Beau & Halee Rahbusch and Brittany (Sean) Wetrich of Calumet and their 2 children: Karsen & Karver; one daughter, Deena and her husband, Scott Grause of Waterbury, NE and their son, Shane (Kellie) Grause along with their 3 children: Kasey, Cheyenne & Harper, Danielle Grause and her two children, Jadyn & Adaline and Samantha Grause and her special friend, Cameron Trometer; one brother, Bill (Carol) Frerk of Sutherland; four sisters: Alice (Verlus) Pippert of Hartley, IA, Marlene Olhausen of Cokato, MN, LaDonna (Michael) Frolkey of Lawton, IA and Darla DeBerg of Primghar, IA; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
