MRS. WARREN BAKER

Marie Justine Storm, daughter of Herman and Justine Storm, was born near Sanborn on February 12, 1897, the sixth child of a family of ten. She moved with her parents to Sheldon in 1916 and made her home there until 1935, when she moved to California. June 14, 1941 she was united in marriage to Warren Baker at Las Vegas, Nevada.

On her way home after a visit with relatives here, she was injured in a car accident June 27 near Cheyenne, Wyo., was confined to a hospital there for nearly a month and passed away July 19 at the age of 51 years five months and seven days.

Mrs. Baker was baptized and confirmed when a young girl in St. John's Lutheran church here and transferred membership to a church in her home town, Altadena, Calif. During her visit here she was privileged to act as sponsor for a niece, Rivonne Geven, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Heiliger.

Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Justine Storm, of Sanborn; five sisters, Mrs. Minnie Webber, Ivanhoe, Minn., Mrs. Ida Leemkuil, Sheldon, Mrs. Agnes Stout, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Clara Jenison and Mrs. Elsie Smith, both of Worthington, Minn.; three brothers, Herman, William and Albert Storm, all of Sanborn; also her mother-in-law, Mrs. Baker, Altadena, Calif., and a brotherin-law, Les Baker, Manhattan Beach, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Theodore.

Services were held Friday afternoon, July 23, at St. John's Lutheran church with Rev. H. L. Daib, the pastor in charge. Musicians were Mrs. Arnold Steuck, Mrs. Amos Peterson, Betty Clark and Ruth Mcnning, who sang "I'm But a Stranger Here," "Beautiful Saviour" and "Just As I am." Mrs. H. L. Daib accompanied at the organ. Casketbearers were Vernon Storm, Earl Storm, Glenn Storm, Leonard Storm, Raymond Webber and George Pekeldcr, all nephews of the deceased. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery.

Relatives and friends from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Jenison, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Smith, of Worthington, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. John Webber, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Webber, Ivanhoe, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Klcyaez, Porter, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. George Leemkuil, Mr. and Mrs. George Pekeldcr, Sheldon; Mr and Mrs. Julius Fenske, Worthington; Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Petrich, Sibley; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boyens, Primghar; Mr. and Mrs. Roald Johnson, Gaza; Mr, and Mrs. Chas. Clark, Linn Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hartwig and Carolina, of California; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Marquardt, Omaha, Nebr.; Gus Marquardt, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Les Baker and family, Manhattan Beach, Calif., Mrs. Baker, Altadena, Calif.
