Basha (multiple spellings) Henrietta Collet was born on December 1, 1839, in Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina, when her father, John, was 38, and her mother, Sarah, nee Green, was 26.

She married Robert L Aldred in 1856 and they had two children together: Erastus (1858-1897) and William (1959-1921).

She then married William Paul Bradrick and began using her middle name, Henrietta, exclusively. They had two sons together: George Garfield (1876-1946) and Sidney I. (1879-1930).

She died on April 12, 1912, in Ocheyedan, Iowa, at the age of 72, and was buried there.
