George MaNary died at his home in this city Tuesday evening, February 9th, after a sickness of several years duration caueed by consumption. He has suffered greatly for years, but during the past twelve months has steadily grown weaker. The past two months he has been visiting at the homes of his daughters at New Hampton and Ft. Dodge and only returned from the latter place the morning of the day he died, being accompanied home by his daughter, Mrs. Arthur McCormack. He knew that his end was near at band and he desired to die in his own home.

Funeral services are being held at the Methodist churnh tbis afternoon and interment will be made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mr. McNary was perhaps as well known in Primghar as any citizen in the town, and if he had any enemies we know not of them. To a certain extent he has been a cripple for many years, having been injured in a fall from a scafolding while working as a carpenter. He engaged in various lines of business but prosperity did not come his way very lavishly, though he attended to business aa carefully as his feeble stength would permit He has raised a large family and was ever a kind father and husband and a good citizen, so tbat his death is regretted by all, though it must of come to bim as a relief from great suffering.
