U. Wynia Rites

Ulysses Wynia, brother of the late Mrs. John Kleinjan, passed away October 3 at Council Bluffs. The body was brought to Sanborn for last rites and burial. Services ere held Friday afternoon at the funeral chapel. Rev. Wm. Hask, paster of the First Reformed church, officiated. Mrs. Arthur Bosch and Mrs. Willmer Van Engen sang "Rock of Ages" and "Beyond the Sunset" accompanied by Mrs. Gerrit Veldhuizen. Pallbearers were John Scheerhoorn, Peter Prince, Roy Ford, Kenneth Kuyper, John Kleinjan and Pat Burna. Interment in Roseland Cemetery.

Mr. Wynia was born April 16, 1867 [sic] at LeMars. His wife preceded him in death. They had no children.

Attending the funeral from a distance were his nieces and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ford, son and wife of Laurens, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Goodell, daughter Lauie, Miss Jeanette Kleinjan, Mr. and Mrs. John Kleinjan and daughter and Pat Burns, all of Council Bluffs. Mrs. Brower and daughter, Miss Elizabeth Hartog of Sheldon also attended.

Friends of the family served lunch after the services at the home of Mrs. Gertrude Tietema.
