SERVICES HELD FOR MARY (Mohr) MILLER

Funeral services for Mary Miller were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hartley, Iowa on Friday, October 22, 1976 at 10 a.m. Clergyman was the Reverend Francis Mennenga. Casket bearers were Rex Brazle, Jim Houtcooper, Don Johnson, Gary Brazle, Hal Miller and Jeff Houtcooper. The committal service was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, with the Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge.

Mary Ann Miller, nee Mohr, the daughter of Henry and Kathryn Frahm Mohr, was born in Ogden, Iowa on December 14, 1895. She was educated in schools near her childhood home.

She was united in marriage at Hartley, Iowa to Fred A. Miller, Sr. on December 20, 1916. She has been a resident of Hartley for 61 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley.

She passed away at her home in Hartley on October 19,1976 at the age of 80.

Preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers, four sisters and three great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband; three sons, Henry F. and wife Faye of Alexandria, Minnesota, Tom and wife Joyce of Westminster, California, Fred C. and wife Jeanne of Fullerton, California; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Kathryn) Houtcooper of Rochelle, Illinois, Mrs. Harry (Corrine) Brazle of Hartley, Mrs. Dale (Joan) Brazle of Rockford, Illinois; twenty-one grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Lydia) Bertach [sic Bertoch] of Alexandria, Minnesota, Mrs. R. P. (Anne) Young of Monticello and Mrs. Martha Hazlett of Hartley, as well as other relatives and friends.
