Robert Jay Lenz, the son of John Graff and Cynthia (Larson) Lenz was born on July 7, 1965 in Primghar, Iowa. He attended Paullina High School and later completed his GED from Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon. He continued his education from NCC in the Power Lineman School.

Robert passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 at his residence in Sheldon reaching the age of 52 years, 1 month and 24 days.

Robert was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Robert’s memory is his son, Kodi and his wife, Jackie Lenz of Oceanside, California and their children, Lexi, Gavin and Tyler; and daughter, Kelsey and her husband, Adrian Jones of Enid, Oklahoma and their sons, Kane and Kareem; Connie Lenz of Enid, Oklahoma; his mother, Cynthia Lenz of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; siblings, Christopher Graff of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Erica and her husband, Mark Bukovich of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; also numerous brothers and sisters in law; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
 
Robert was preceded in death by his father, John Graff; brother, Andrew Lenz and stepfather, Norman Lenz.
