Mrs. Anna Doescher Succumbs

Funeral services were held on last Thursday afternoon at the Bethel Lutheran church at Sutherland for Mrs. Anna Doescher, 88, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Braun, at Sutherland.

Burial was at Hartley.

Mrs. Doescher had formerly lived at Hartley.

Mrs. Anna Doescher Rites Held Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Doescher, 88, longtime resident of O'Brien county, were held last Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bethel Lutheran church under direction of the Baumgarten Funeral Home. Pastor Fred A. Elze officiated. The hymns "Rock of Ages" and "Abide With Me" were sung by Beverly Jebsen, accompanied by Mrs. Loren Drefke. Pallbearers were Guy Youde, Clarence Phillips, Ernest Rohde, Winfred Moding, Albert Brehmer and Jasper Martin. Mrs. Florence Marsh and Mrs. Carrie Rampenthal took care of the flowers. Interment was in Pleasant View cemetery at Hartley.

Mrs. Doescher, who was born at Hanover, Germany, came to America with her parents when she was a young girl, living first in Marshall county, and then coming to Primghar, where they resided on a farm for many years. Mrs. Doescher spent her youth and married life on farms in the Primghar and Hartley communities. Her husband preceded her in death 13 years ago.

For the past seven years she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Mabel Braun, at Sutherland, and it was here she passed away on February 3. Survivors are her daughters, Mrs. Johanna Adams of Rock Falls, Ill., Mrs. Joe Fenstra of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., Mrs. Charles 0pkis of Mason City, and Mrs. Braun of Sutherland; two adopted sons, Clarence of Sioux City, and Willard of Bremerton, Wash.; 43 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren. Attending the luneiral from out of town were Mu. Byron Davis, Morrison, Ill., Mrs. Johanna Adams, Carol and Ray,and Mrs. Geo. Adams, Rock Falls, 111.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fenstra, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rolhenbtjpler, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Scfiroedermier of Sioux Falls, S. Dak,; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Opkis, Alvin and Charlene, Mrs. Winis^Ballard, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Van Horn and family, Mason City; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tarrence and family of Garner; Delia Bethel of Des Moines; Mrs. Lawrence Bethel and Mary, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Crouch and girls, Lillian Stubbindeck, Martha Brinkert of,.-.-Primghar; Mr. and Mrs. Hicko Groen, Lennox, S.
