MARTHA HOPFE

Last Rites Held Wednesday for Mrs. Martha Hopfe

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Martha Hopfe, 85, at Hartley. Mrs. Hopfe, a former Dysart resident, died at her home there Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. Hopfe was born in Germany, a daughter of John and Catherine Albright. She came to the United States with her parents while an infant. They settled on a farm in Big Grove township, Benton county, and later moved to a farm southeast of town where she grew to womanhood. Following her marriage she moved to Hartley.

She is survived by six children and one brother, John Albright of Long Beach, California.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Cold, Mrs. W.D. Brandt, and Mrs. Martin Landgrebe; three brothers, Charles, Martin and William.

Attending the services from here were Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Brandt, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Fawley, Roy Landgrebe as well as Mr. and Mrs. Will Peterson of Vinton, all nieces and nephews of the deceased.
