MRS. LENORE PIPPERT

Last rites were held at Trinity Evangelical and Reformed church, Rev. B. H. Romanowski, officiating, for Mrs. Lenore Pippert on Monday, November 20, 1950.

Lenore Elizabeth Fritzel was the daughter of August and Caroline Fritzel. She was born near Freeport, Illinois on February 23, 1866. At the age of four years she moved with her parents to Pleasant Valley, Grundy Center, Iowa where she grew to womanhood. As a child she was baptized in the Christian Faith in the Evangelical Church.

On March 2, 1886 she was united in marriage to John Pippert in the home of her parents. To this union seven children were born. Rev J. H. Pippert, father of the groom, officiated at their wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Pippert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1936.

Mr. and Mrs. Pippert first lived in Harden County, then they moved to Mason City where they lived for six years before coming to O'Brien County. In 1930 they moved from their farm to their home in Hartley. Mrs. Pippert was a member of Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Ladied Aid Society of the church.

Mrs. John Pippert resided in the Hartley vicinity during the major portion of her life. When she passed from this earthly life on Friday, November 17, she had attained the age of 84 years, 8 months and 26 days.

Mrs. Lenore Pippert was preceded in death by her husband, John Pippert, who died on September 27, 1945.

Mrs. Pippert is survived by seven children: Irvin of Gann Valley, S.D., Mrs. Carrie Penningroth of Appleton, Minn., Mrs. Myrtle Ehlers of Davenport, IA, Mrs. Flossie Schubert of Adams, Minn., Roy, Floyd and Mrs. Lutrella Bobzien of Hartley, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Eberline of George, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

Music for the service conducted at Trinity Church was provided by Mrs. Harrison Grotewohl at the organ and a quartet composed of Mrs. Everett Selken, Mrs. Francis Glackin, W. R. Wagner and Rev. B. Romanowski. Mrs. Wm. Guhl and Mrs. Henry Steuck had charge of the flower arrangements. Pallbearers were Henry Ol­hausen, Harry Williams, Edgar Burns, Charlie Ackerman, Ed Popp and Bill Meier. Interment was made in Pleasant View Cemetery at Hartley.
