MRS. L. B. KEENE

Eleanor Ison Keene, daughter of Charles and Susan Ison, was born in Union County, South Dakota on a farm near Alcester, on March 1. 1908. and died September 20th at the age of 52 years 6 months and 20 days.

She attended Canton Lutheran Academy, and also graduated from Eastern State College. She taught in the public school at Arlington, South Dakota for six years and on June 30, 1934 was united in marriage to L. B. Keene of Hartley, Iowa. To this union one child was born, Charles Bernard of Hartley, Iowa.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her hus­band, L. B. Keene, son, Charles and wife Dovia (Debbie), and one grandchild, Martha Sue; two sisters, Mrs. George Jacobson of Beresford, South Dakota, Mrs. Arthur Willerton of Kenosha, Wisconsin; one brother, Guy Ison of Crookston, Nebraska; an aunt, Mrs. Agnes Gaffney, of Emmet, Nebraska.

Funeral services were held in the Hartley Methodist Church, Thursday, September 22. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Moneta, Iowa. Services were conducted by the Rev. Donald D. Samuelson of Hartley and Pio Julian Daba of the Moneta Methodist church'. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.
