Called Home.

Mrs. Eliza A. Armstrong, an old and highly respected resident of Omega township, departed this life August 21, 1906, aged 66 years, 9 months and 20 days.

She was united in marriage to James Armstrong, November 1862. This union was blessed with nine children, three sons and six daughters, all of whom survive her, except the eldest, [Bessie] who died in infancy. Those still living are: J. Beckwell, of Denver, Col; Mrs. V. A. Wheelock, of Hartley: Mrs. Effie E. Wheelock, of Hardwick, Minn: Mrs. C. W. Hansen, of Estherville; Warren W, of Sutherland; Abbie M., ; Foster J. and Pet., the last three named still live at home. These and the husband, in addition to ten grandchildren, are left to mourn the loss.

Mrs. Armstrong was an earnest Christian, who died as she lived, trusting in the Heavenly Father for a reward that is ever abiding and in Jesus Christ, her Savior. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, whose life, though one of suffering, was spent in the care of her family and the service of her Heavenly Father.

The funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Hartley, Thursday, August 21, at 3 o'clock, p. m. Rev. W. O. Thbmpkins, pastor of the Methodist church of Primghar, conducted the services, after which, her earthly form was laid to rest in the Hartley cemetery. The family have tbe sympathy of a large circle of friends in this their sad hour of bereavement.
